So here we are and so far so good right. As this year progresses, I hope to convince you that the coming of December 2012,
is a significant opportunity to transform and evolve. The only thing
which is to be destroyed is the individual ego. The outcome of this
auspicious date creates more than a sense of change and with it a
greater knowing of oneness.
This new moon is in the sign of Aquarius who loves to push edges and fly in his own orbit, literally! In the Calendar of the Moon, this first New Moon of the Year 2012
marks the Chinese New Year of the Black Water Dragon. Symbolically,
this dragon rules water-based weather and phenomena. Depending on
transits I sense there will be quite a lot taking place this year. In
Chinese philosophy, the Dragon is a symbol of the East and the color
black belongs to the north.
Traditionally the dragon is a
symbol of potent and auspicious powers in the far east unlike its
western cousins. In China, it is a great honor to be compared to a
dragon, think Bruce Lee! I find it ever so interesting that this Dragon
year coincides with the Quetzalcoatl predictions of the Maya.
Looking at the notable eclipses of this year, we see the shadow of the May 20, eclipse
originating in Asia moving from the northeast, coming across the
pacific rim and ending up on the border of the Texas panhandle and New
Mexico. Let's all keep a watch on that! Those of you who have been
following my Astrological musings since the turn of the century recall
my warnings of water and fire for the year 2012. In addition my spot prediction for the Tsunami of December 4, 2004.
Could it be that the Dragon energy this year rides on the eclipses? Is
this what I have been sensing in the Pacific Rim all these years? We can
only wait and watch in order to find out.
Those of you
thinking I was nuts to move to Florida due to hurricane possibility,
especially those of you residing in the north east United States, have
actually had your own taste this last year. If you want to come visit in
the Spring to get out of the west, let me know and I will find places
for you to stay. We will get together and send love to the great mother
to be gentle when she shivers under the shadow of this eclipse.
Enough
of my brief peek into the year ahead. I promise I will continue to
enlighten you as time goes on but for now, let's look at this month and
this lunation. For those of you living here in EST the lunation occurs in the wee hours January 23. For those of you on the west coast, it late in the evening on the 22nd. If you are in other corners of the world, kindly do the conversion here.
This New Moon
is in the broad thinking sign of Aquarius. Get your tie dye out and
celebrate the unusual side of your personality. Aquarian energy always
gives us a sense of our connection to the greater good of all. Place
this in your daily meditation. Aquarius urges us to think and act
outside the box. There is a tug-of-war going on for many of you as we
experience a tight opposition between expansive Jupiter and contractive
Saturn, which square the lunar event. Thank goodness grandfather Uranus,
ruler of Aquarius is cruising through Aires. This creates a jolting,
favorable and supportive sextile position to this event.
To
sooth these phenomena, I highly recommend what we call in Yoga:
Sadhana, which is personal practice. This includes: Pranayama, Yoga
Asana, specific physical and mental diet which includes meditation.
There are many offering products and services to help you on your way.
Here are some ideas I have for you: To
aide in sleep and dreaming while clearing and cleaning the auric field
consider placing a piece of Selenite under your pillow.
I suggest you begin with an hour and work up to all
night as this is very powerful. If you are toxic and out of alignment
you will feel the shakedown before the elation. Contact me if you need

The way to use this: I recommend the loose powder.
Place a pinch in your right hand. Set an intention. Chant OM three times
directly into the powder. Place the powder in a small glass of clean

around and drink. Sit and meditate after. Be prepared to receive images
and ideas.
Just a little more than 17 hours later
we hit a speed-bump when Mars turns retrograde. This bad boy is already
curbed a bit in the sign of Virgo and this will make it seem as if your
projects are going much more slowly. But, when he turns retrograde you
better exercise a heck of a lot more patience with yourself. Put this
re-evaluative sensibility to good use. Rework your plans. Reassess your
diet and health practices. Vow to not sweat the delays. This is
happening through April 13. I love how many things are happening on 13 numbered days this year which include three Fridays!
January 27 to 28,
depending on your location, we all seem to be a little more clever, so
mind your children, especially your teenagers if you have them! This is
due to witty Mercury sailing into the sign of Aquarius. There he joins
in on the party already in progress in this gregarious sign which is in
celebration of Neptune's last days here as he prepares for his homing
coming in his home sign of Pisces on February 3. He remains here for the next 13 years. There is that number again!
Hermitic
Neptune has cruised patiently for 164 Earth years to return home. Each
day on Neptune takes 19.1 Earth hours. A year on Neptune takes 164.8
Earth years; it takes almost 165 Earth years for Neptune to orbit the
sun once. Neptune was discovered in 1846.
Do you see the math pattern here in the numerology? Since Neptune was
discovered, he has completed just a little more than a single revolution
around the sun. Folks, there is a great clue to the mystery of life
here. It is up to you, to figure out the meaning!
I suspect
the fish logos stuck on the back end of cars will take off and fly
home. The monastic religions will have outrageous discoveries and people
just may wake up to see our connection through a web of consciousness.
This is the time of spiritual enlightenment. Make your plans now and

February 7, sturdy Saturn begins his annual retrograde in diplomatic Libra. This keeps him in the last third of the scale's territory through June 25,
when he begins to move forward once again. If you had a situation
during the last few months needing a reevaluation and rehabilitation,
here is your opportunity.
Just hours later the same day we have a Full Moon in Leo.
Hearts are open and egos crave attention when the fires of our emotions
are stoked with unnecessary adolescent behavior. Feelings bubble up and
seem more out of control than they really are. Think of a mirror in
which the objects appear larger. Take care to not back into anything!
Hours later Venus charges into Aires
where she throws arrows of restlessness at your heart chakra. This
causes you to want what you want, when you want it and when is now!
Remind yourself to slow down and maybe put your credit cards on ice for a
while.
Mercury drifts into Pisces February 13
causing you to lose your bearings and go heinously off course. This is
not so good for negotiations and firm agreements but it is fabulous for
artists and creative people. If you have not tried to exercise your
intuitive mind, this is a great opportunity to consult a psychic. Hint,
hint!
Kudos to those of you still thinking clearly and seeing the future! But, you too will likely be swept off in the undertow of Pisces when the Sun drifts into the home of the two fishes February 18.
Do me a favor. Don't plan anything big or life changing until Apollo is
in Aires again on March 20. Quit your whining and just sit tight. You
will thank me later.

flashes of genius. Step way outside your comfort zone and take on tasks

to learn forgiveness? Strange sleep patterns along with misinterpreted
conversations create stressors. Schedule extra me time, for quiet
contemplation. When you must put out conversation fires, having this
space blocked out from your schedule gives you the extra which is
needed.

Why

Cancer June 22/23 to July 22/23 It
is fine to not have every single detail figured out and analyzed before
