Chances up you weren’t awake early enough the morning of January 4, to catch a flurry of meteors in the dark sky. Observers in Europe, northern Africa, the Middle East and parts of Asia witnessed a partial eclipse of the sun at the same time.  In western Europe, as much as 86% of the solar disk was covered by the Moon at dawn, producing a fantastic crescent sunrise on Jan. 4th.

So, what does this all mean? Meteors are a rapid display of light. Hmm, kind of like new ideas with lightening speed. Sometimes these are hard to grasp and remember like all sorts of things darting through your sleeping mind! So, did you have any interesting ideas that woke you up in the night or early in the morning? Get going with them. If you don’t remember what they were, by all means ask the dream keeper to take you back to them over the next few nights.

This new moon in sturdy Capricorn occurred early in the morning and came along with a Solar Eclipse. This is the psyche’s turn to overtake the ego. Emotions want to run hot and high but instead are bubbling just below the surface. Luna’s romp across the Sun is accompanied by a square between Venus and Neptune. Watch out and take time to evaluate what you are feeling draw into. This is difficult as you are spurred on by the ignitable energy of the current Jupiter-Uranus conjunction. This is the pair’s third meeting and this time the influence of the misty realm of Pisces has everything a little to rose colored. Make a strong and definitive reality check.
It seems you just want to dart around looking for the cheese but the maze is really confusing right now. Get rid of the mundane little tasks through completion and responsible delegation. Conserve energy at all costs.

The shadow of this eclipse touches areas from India, through Egypt and Turkey to Great Britain. Let’s all watch what happens in the news for these powers. No matter where you are, be as still as possible and resist adding a pile of things to your list of tasks. Rather than cooking up new schemes, put the energy to safer use and cook up some new recipes! The Goddess of love leaps rebelliously into Sagittarius January 7, which can be a very good thing for existing relationships if put to good use. By this I mean, take the energy by the reigns and ride it. Change things up by adding new spice to the usual blend. Passion needs to grow and change in order to stay happy, alive and kicking. If you are single and looking for love, leap out over the pasture fence and try out a new way of finding possibilities.

January 13, Mercury gets out his calculator and returns to the steadfast field of Capricorn where he first began to back up on his recent retrograde. Before going public on your new ideas, test them out on a small group of people you trust. Things may not be as polished or ready as you thought and this is a great way from making mistakes in front of those you want to impress.

Mercury continues onto a conjunction with the nodes of the moon in also in Capricorn. Keep things a little more conservative in your presentations. You don’t have to hang from the ceiling to get attention. Just be precise and clear. Less is more during this phase. If you feel you must act out and use innovative antics then wait until the 15th when Mars steams into Aquarius. Now you can push the edges and color outside the lines.

The sensitive Full Moon in Cancer on January 19, has us seeking peace and kindness. There is a need for safety. When was the last time you checked your back up plans in computers and fire extinguishers? An ounce of prevention goes a long way right now.  The Sun in Capricorn supports this with a fatherly nod.

The very next day on January 20, the Sun blasts into Aquarius so don’t be alarmed if our plans from yesterday get blown to smithereens! Suddenly there is a desire to think outside the box and act in most unusual manners. What seemed packed tight yesterday takes on a completely new palette of colors and forms. Though a fixed sign, Aquarius is lofty and often distant. This plays out in most unusual ways.

January 22, Jupiter gets busy when he fires into Aries. It is now time for you to embark on your new journey. Try out your new ideas. Take some risks. Explore new territory. There is not waiting for a better time in the future go for it now.

Three days later January 25, the window is closed when Saturn turns retrograde. Now you must turn inward and evaluate what is going on from the depths to the surface. Aries March 19/20 to April 20/21
In one week’s time everything is feeling a whole lot better. All of the changes you have been pushing for come to fruition easily. So ask yourself, “Why am I pushing so hard right now?” Then, take time to declutter and shift energy around. Clean up and clear out to prepare for the amazing new phase you are entering. Plans play out over the next six months. Choose wisely!

Taurus April 20/21 to May 21/22
It is not your style to enjoy slippery slopes and bouncy journeys. Get over it. The next six months are twisty and full of strange turns. This gives you opportunity to ride it out and learn how to surf the energy. When you catch yourself trying to rosy things up, take a reality check and get real.
                               
Gemini May 21/22 to June 21/22       
Slow down and take a lot more time. Patience is your new mode to operate from outwardly in all your interactions with others. If you crave speed, let it happen in your thoughts only. Thicken up your skin and use the opportunity to let words roll off you like rain. In the infamous words of the Rolling Stones “You can’t always get what you want, but if you try sometime, you get what you need.”
       
Cancer June 22/23 to July 22/23
Go back over past offers as one of them is sure to resurface and come through. If you are unsure of what to do, bounce the options off of a trusted friend. This month is about getting down to business and beefing up your contacts and options. Get all of your ducks lined up and go after what you want in the early part of the day on January 17. Watch out in the following days to not get moody and spoil your hard work.
               
Leo July 22/23 to August 23/24       
The best way to clean things up is to sort through them and get rid of what is no longer working for you. So it is with your job situation. Time must be taken to clear out the past. This is the only way you can make space for the new things to come. No, they are not just around the corner as of yet. Be grateful for what you do have and clear out all of the pollution in your house and your mind.
    
Virgo August 23/24 to September 23/24
Let go and get crazy. This is no time to calculate and scheme. It just won’t work. Cut loose and go in a completely opposite direction. Watch out for insecurities around the full moon of January 19. This is a great time to renounce bad habits and really make the positive changes you deserve. You can do it! When Saturn retrogrades you will once again feel stabilized. Now, take a deep breath!   

Libra September 23/24 to October 23/24
The rumblings to move on are due to the Solar Eclipse taking place in your fourth house of family and roots. This doesn’t mean you have to scatter to the four directions. Instead, go for the innovative plan you have been brewing. Speak your ideas to all who will listen. Get passionate about this and really put all of your energy and time into it. The best days to make your move are between January 20 and 23 when your confidence is high and you feel stability under your feet.

Scorpio October 23/24 to November 22/23
Be big, be bold and by all means mix it up. Prepare to be sideswiped by love. All of the magic you have been putting into manifesting what you really want is about to come through and true, ready or not. Take the end of January through the beginning of February to invest in all of the home improvements you have been wanting. Your recent investments are paying off big time!
    
Sagittarius   November 22/23 to December 21/22       
Trust your intuition. This is not how you usually roll but it is how you must right now. I am not telling you to put on a rainbow tie-dye shirt and skip through the park. But rather be more  visceral and less intellectual. Quit analyzing so much and ask your body what it wants and what it thinks. You are about to be amazed by the answers.

Capricorn December 21/22 to January 20/21                       
Hold your head up high. Strive to stay positive. Reach higher than you have before. The important decision you are about to make depends on action and the ability to transform. Make yourself ready to handle this. Integrity goes a long way now. Steady movement forward with your chin held high, gets you where you are going.

       
Aquarius January 20/21 to February 18/19
You are in big need of a stay-cation. Don’t get yourself physically ill in order to justify the time off. Simply create it. Rest more and sleep more. Your wires are sizzling with overloads. Take the time you need to recharge. The last ten days of January bring newfound energy you crave. Relax and rebuild until then. Begin February with a new perspective. Even though you are the king of different, there is still room for growth and change.
    
Pisces February 18/19 to March 19/20
A door is not closing but rather a grand new path is spilling out in front of you. Embark on this new journey with creative get-up-and-go. Capture your dreams on paper and put them to good use.
