You are thinking outside the box December 5 with Uranus moving direct after his several months of retrograde. The psychedelic daddy of invention has your idea motor revving up once again. So, if you have been feeling stagnant, you now get the ideas to put your energy to work on.

The discipline you have been craving is yours December 7, when active Mars sits back in the surprisingly comfy control chair of Capricorn. Methods and a much needed plan unfold and become clear with the power of Mars harnessed and put to constructive use in the domain of the Sea Goat. My only advice is to remain mindful of the feelings of others and resist being pushy.

December 10 Mercury begins his final retrograde cycle of the year in stodgy Capricorn. If you have made strong statements or laid down the foundation for a future plan, it can easily be crushed. I don’t know about you, but I feel like the tricky messenger has been back-peddling more than moving forward this year! Fortunately he graces us by moving direct just before the turn of the year so we have this to look forward to.

When the force of Mars conjoins the transformative liquidity of Pluto the choice of direction is up to your ability to relax and go with the molten flow of things. Add to this spicy soup Mercury’s retrograde and a connection with Rahu, the North Node and you have got a karmic strata to dismantle on December 13. Smooth back your prickly energy and spend more time in quiet contemplation. I suggest a journal and a large very warm cup of soothing tea. Allow the ideas to flow and take time in the near future to process it all.

Backing up into the fiery space of Sagittarius, words blurt and ideas fly around. Take time to realize whether you can back this all up with cohesive thought. Best to tape your mouth shut! Look at it this way: an ounce of prevention yields a pound of cure. When handed anything written, take lots of time to read the fine print. In conversations also, back up and read in between the lines.

The full moon Eclipse December 21 in Gemini, guides us to gather our thoughts and get organized before the turn of the year. Cut out everything that is not serving your higher purpose. Commit to only that which keeps you grounded and true to your intention. Expansive Jupiter squares this event which really heats things up. Added to this is the wacky force of Uranus who tries to get you to take risks and possibly make questionable choices. Meanwhile Nebulous Neptune juices it up with a positive flow of his unique energy. Confusion to enlightenment could happen. What do you choose?

A couple hours later the Sun steps in Capricorn signaling the change of the seasons and either the longest day or night of the year depending on which hemisphere you reside in. Here in my yard we celebrate the longest night and the winter solstice. My intention is for us all to have even more patience with one another and to witness our reactions sooner so as to prevent unnecessary leaking of energy.

As I promised, Mercury sails direct December 29. Whatever you have been sitting patiently waiting for soon comes to be. Have positive thought and keep your faith. Indeed, there has been a great deal of tension in the world. But, really it does no good to dwell on it. Find practices like mediation and yoga which help to keep everything relaxed and in focus. Practice what keeps the mind sharp and alert with te body relaxed and the heart open.
