The new moon in Cancer floats in on the wake of the Sun’s movement into the sign of Cancer. This marks the Summer Solstice in the northern hemisphere. Cancer naturally rules the fourth house of ancestry, family and roots. Our yearly swim into the crab’s cave brings a welling of energy in these domains. Be careful not to hole up and miss opportunities!
    Intensifying this, la luna nueva is opposite Pluto bringing a melt down of emotion. Perhaps a longtime creation or relationship is crumbling. Pluto is in the Saturnian realm of Capricorn so it is likely finance is involved with these two in cahoots! This manifests as a sudden need to destroy and renew which is set off by a square of Uranus. Digging your nails into the walls won’t hold you and the screeching is unbearable as you slide off course. Rather then being dragged down, push off with your feet and choose to fly on the winds of your bursting expressions.    
     Are you ready to face and taste your freaky desires? This new moon chart has a yod, also known as a divine digit, pointing to the tumultuous diosa Lilith. This magical ambrosial finger is rooted deep into Mercury in Gemini and Pallas in Leo. This is sure to have you acting out beyond your comfort zone with lots of Tourettes like blurting.
    Lilith has the reputation of being a stormy goddess much like Kali Ma from Tibet and Sumero-Babylonian Goddess Belit-ili, or Belili. She is fecund, earthy and bound to flip out your masculine side! It is as if you are watching a play but instead of being an innocent bystander you are the star of the show!
    Many tales exist about this powerful she-creature. Most of them are frightening and full of warning. Hook in and hang on because this part of you is leading the way for a possible six months of action. Mark down all new encounters and events occurring and watch as this aberration smokes the reality of what is really happening. Lilith demands honor and she is bound and determined to get her point across. Prepare for endless inner conversations fueled by the chatty pair of Mercury and Pallas. Lilith’s strong hold in Capricorn forms a grand trine to the Mars and Venus conjunction in sensual Taurus (please see my blog from last month) thus ramming the hold of Saturn in Virgo. Keep a look out for things hitting a skid or suddenly messing up. It is a good time to comb over receipts, bank statements and double check charges.
    Rainbow warrior Uranus has been exploring his creative side in the divine domain of Pisces. His station retrograde move on July 1 could kick up some paranoia as he begins five months of back stroking. Don’t fret if you decided to redo a project or are told to. Just take it as an opportunity to refine and produce a better final draft. Two days later Mercury catches the current and joins in the fishy realm of Pisces. Deep emotions are bubbling to the surface. All of the work you have been doing to release and identify, swells up and slides out of you. Are you ready? This can come in lapping waves or with the tidal force of a tsunami. As a matter of fact, the earth may respond with some water cleansing of her own. Let’s keep an eye on the news particularly central Asia, India and the Pacific Rim.
    If all of this has energetically rocked your relationship boat, you do have the opportunity to sort it all out through mediation with the help of Venus as she moves into Gemini on July 5. Ask Aphrodite to give you information in tiny usable bites.
    Issues that are stewing and bubbling are coming to a head July 7, when the moon is full in Capricorn in an appulse eclipse. The appulse is an indicator of things which occur in the periphery of your focus. A chaotic zing is sure to set off something you were counting on being steady. Prepare yourself for a change in outcome and possibly income. See to it that you have a back-up plan.
    Jupiter’s second conjunction to Neptune occurs on July 9. Remember I told you about the first one in May? This is the second of three. Their meeting in Aquarius with retrograde motion gives opportunity to rethink what you are pushing for and brings an opportunity to renew your goals. It is fine if you want to dump out your toy box and start over. Perhaps you are just awakening and now are able to see what you want. In no time the Neptunian  illusions melt away and dissolve bringing forth the next phase.
    The caked on mud and muck of emotion which has been flaking away, begins to blow off as Mars flies into Gemini. Though the warrior is once again chasing after his love, he will not catch her until August 20, 2010 when they hook up in Libra. If you did not get a big taste of what you deeply desire when the lovers were together on the 21st of June, you will steadily progress closer than before. Those of you who are clear, need to be honest in your pursuits.
    This lunar month closes as Mercury blazes into Leo on July 17. The trickster flings hot bursts of demands on you, so try to keep your cool. He is sure to show up behind the eyes of those you know and trust. Don’t let him throw you! If he invites you to dance, by all means say yes and crank up the music!
