So here we are and so far so good right. As this year progresses, I hope to convince you that the coming of December 2012, is a significant opportunity to transform and evolve. The only thing which is to be destroyed is the individual ego. The outcome of this auspicious date creates more than a sense of change and with it a greater knowing of oneness.


Traditionally the dragon is a symbol of potent and auspicious powers in the far east unlike its western cousins. In China, it is a great honor to be compared to a dragon, think Bruce Lee! I find it ever so interesting that this Dragon year coincides with the Quetzalcoatl predictions of the Maya.


Those of you thinking I was nuts to move to Florida due to hurricane possibility, especially those of you residing in the north east United States, have actually had your own taste this last year. If you want to come visit in the Spring to get out of the west, let me know and I will find places for you to stay. We will get together and send love to the great mother to be gentle when she shivers under the shadow of this eclipse.

Saturday, November 26, Venus finds some dirt under her fingernails when she digs into the earthy field of Capricorn. December 1, she conjoins Pluto at six degrees Capricorn and we peek under her veil and are given a shot of truth serum. If you have been fooling yourself, the entire charade is about to crumble. If you are reading this the day it lands in your lap, I suggest getting to work on clarifying your intentions and standing by your decisions. There is no room for lukewarm, wishy-washy behavior.

Those of you completing projects or waiting to begin them, get a blast of refreshing air when Uranus turns direct December 9. He has been on a back-peddling course since August. So, if you have been experiencing a difficult time with ideas and projects I bet you are going to get things moving now. Keep in mind Mercury is still retrograde so use this time for ideas and planning. When the winged messenger turns direct December 13, at zero degrees of Aries, you can take your new show on the road.

The theme for the Lunar Eclipse Full Moon at 13 degrees of Gemini December 10, is to get real and get on with it. The greatest eclipse of the Moon occurs at 9:32 p.m. EST. This is the same type of Moon that was used to fool the Natives here in the USA so many years ago when William Penn cut a deal to buy land for less than the value of a blanket. Let’s not dwell on this. The points I do wish for you to focus attention on are of much more importance and they implore you to resolve your conflicts now, before they get any more out of hand. Keep your focus on your work ad get it done before you run off for playtime. Shut your mouth and listen. Most important, use the twenty four-hour rule of waiting in contemplation before acting on a gut reaction.

The communication flow returns to well greased and easy December 13 when Mercury rolls into direct motion once again. Have patience and wait a couple weeks before giving up on electronics and signed deals as these are likely to find their way to correction and completion.

Relationships turn aloof for the new year when the goddess of allure enters the chilly Aquarian arena. Don’t push your lover or spouse. You won’t get what you want. Learn to accept and be grateful for the small gifts. Rather than trying to redesign them or make them over, put the time and energy into your own look and manner.

For me, it is the calendar as usual. We are having a Mercury retrograde beginning November 23 and lasting into the proximal lunation when he turns direct on December 13. I don’t recommend foreign travel beginning or ending within this time period unless the entire trip takes place within its boundaries. If you cannot avoid it, please leave a lot of extra time to compensate for silly delays.

Something that has me scratching my head started when I was talking to a European friend out food shopping. Those of you that think cheese is a sliced object ready for a place in a sandwich have some learning to do. This all got me thinking what is actually going on here? What is happening to us? Perhaps we have truly gotten out of control!

of your personal natal chart which it occupies. Venus, who is traveling in close proximity to this New Moon is also in critical Virgo. I honestly experienced a few days of my iPod fritzing-out. The thought went through my mind that I would have to replace it, which I sincerely am not wanting to do right now. I thought about Mercury and made a little promise to the master of communication. Miraculously after giving it some patience, trusting in Mercury and then docking it to the home base computer a few days later it is fine. This is not the first time I have experienced this during a similar retrograde. I hope you found the patience to wait it out and that your electronics are doing fine.

September 8, Mercury moves back into his earthy home sign of Virgo. Little annoyances are easy to unravel and correct. Much needed focus saves the day. All the messes get cleaned up and the dust settles. If you are in any form of school, careful study and perseverance pay off.

The Pisces Full Moon September 12, shakes things up at the emotional level. Place all of your energy into getting all of your work done without being overwhelmed. If you have creative outlets, investing in them now leads to a crossroad decision.

The shadows come into light September 16 when mysterious Pluto turns direct. Everything you had carefully packed just beneath the surface begins to bubble up. Hopefully you read this in advance and prepare accordingly.

Passionate fires blend September 18 when Mars charges into Leo. Feeling fetching is a good thing. Curb your desire to act arrogant. Let your need for approval be satisfied by gazing into a mirror rather than begging others. Instead of groveling, use the vigor in creative output.

The Autumnal Equinox is a balance point. It is marked by the movement of the Sun into the sign of the scales, Libra which is on September 23 this year. This is a perfect opportunity to evaluate the works of the ego. Just as I described above with Mercury, the communicator’s connections with planets, we encounter the Sun opposite uncommon Uranus on the 25th, shaken up by a square to inscrutable Pluto on the 28th and a conjunction with strict Saturn on October 13.

The lunar month breezes to an end with Mercury in Libra Sunday, September 25. Following suit, when Mercury meets up with Uranus September 26, mind your communication blurting. Emotions come out your mouth on the 28th when he dips into a square with Pluto and then lays down a new set of principles when he conjoins Saturn on October 6th.

You have read about a 2nd Full Moon being a “Blue Moon” but I am not sure if you remember the last time I told you about a 2nd New Moon in a month. Unlike its replete counterpart, this one has several names it is known by. Some call it the Secret Moon or the Spinner’s Moon and some call it the Finder’s Moon. When we look at these names, we see the themes of getting something secretly desired.

This 2nd in a month New moon is in the heart-opening sign of Leo. The lion brings a certain pizzaz to our lives. Here in the northern hemisphere it is a final push into the heat of summer. Kids are getting in those last summer activities before it is time to hunker down and get back to schoolwork. Adults are taking time for much needed relax time. All in all, we are following through on what we want.

What are your deep secret desires? That which you have been asking for, may very well come true with this moon. This is a really good time to look at the patterns of your speech and what you have been creating with your words. Already I am able to see the fruits of my desires coming through. One of my longtime wishes was grated this morning on a beach walk. Those of you who read my “Where’s Ambika?” newsletter read in the recent issue about my fascination with sea turtles. I have seen a mother laying eggs and get back in the sea. I have seen random hatchlings and even have helped them out but this morning I witnessed a sandy nest explode into new life as at least 50 baby Loggerhead hatchlings spring out of the sand and sprinted to the water line. Though I realized it was a circle of life, I gulped as I saw a seagull make off with one. I wished that the birds didn’t need to feed off the beautiful creatures. Fortunately there was only one which became a breakfast withing the scope of my vision. It was truly amazing to watch as they felt the water and just took off like runners with the right sneakers on, they seemingly flew across the sand. I have one word: Amazing
This warming New Moon is a high-spirited celebration of life and is joined by the lovely goddess Venus who promises to playfully raise the bar on fun! Many are experiencing a spring-fever kind of feeling which comes up quite suddenly, inspired by a lovely trine by innovative Uranus. Be prepared to be swept into a completely different direction. The only warning I have for you is to mind being excessive due to a shake up from Jupiter, the guru of more as he squares the event. Keep your head above water and mind your Ps and Qs!

August 2, brings another of our favorite backpedaling sessions as Mercury turns station and Retrograde. Yes I am being facetious! Back up your hard drive now right now. Then come back and read the rest of this, really! The messenger turns to his backward motion while opposite foggy Neptune. Do the routine of double checking and following up. If things aren’t right, fix them. Dreams are a source of great wisdom throughout this phase.

Mars moves into one of his least favorite zones August 3, when he slows down into Cancer. Think about the oxymoron of this in the idea of a nurturing warrior or sensitive fire. It just doesn’t quite make sense. Those with a tendency toward passive aggressive behavior blossom into a big display. Those who often get caught in the wake should protect themselves accordingly and prepare for it. Be direct and firm while standing string for your beliefs.

Now you get a bit of a break when brilliant Aquarius plays host to mystical Neptune August 4. Those of you who meditate and practice metaphysics are in for a great treat as new levels are revealed. This is the time of genius. Get back to work on your inventions. Let’s all put some positive energy on the ideas of solutions for global waste issues and the discovery of clean alternative energy which is affordable to all.

Mercury continues his back up and steps on the Leo the lion’s tail August 8. This is sure to cause acting out spurred by pride. Use intellect to get you out of the potential mess. Put your energy back into your own creative output.

Prepare for a crazy midweek strain August 9 and 10 when the warrior Mars squares wacky Uranus and at the same time opposes the alchemist Pluto. Impulsive sparks fly which trigger very strange behavior. If you have kids, put them on a diet of calming foods and beverages. Lay off the extra stimulants yourself. If crisis happens, breathe deeply and use your well-honed skills to handle everything. This may be a foreshadowing of what is to come in your future. So take good notes on what works and stash them in your backpack for the future.

Luna who represents your psyche, swells to fullness August 13 in the innovative sign of Aquarius. She of course opposes the Sun, which represents the ego and appearance as well as Mercury who shows you your ability to communicate and Venus your attraction to things and them to you. This is a classic line up of the personal planets. Keep reminding yourself to act with integrity and as a grownup. Use the fire of Leo, which is where all the personal planets are as an opportunity to come from your heart rather than from on top of a soap box.

Thankfully things become tidy as the month draws to a close. August 21, Venus enters Virgo bringing a much more down to earth view of the situation and ideas as to how to clean up any messes which happened since the new moon. Any unrealistic attractions are revealed. Virgo gets you to roll up your sleeves and get it all cleaned up.

Following in suit the self-important ego gets a good long look in the mirror August 23 when the Sun enters Virgo. Personal health practices are reevaluated. Be sure to honor every little step in the right direction as the goddess of perfection can often urge you to set your standards a little too high.

Thoughts become clear and computers begin to work again August 26 when Mercury turns direct. Be patient. Mercury needs a little extra time to get things rolling. It could be a few weeks before you feel like yourself again. Remember all change is good.

Leo is childlike and creative. It is impossible to interrupt a creative process with a bunch of words and ideas. Therefore, this month I am taking a Zen approach to your horoscope and offering you a mantra to use as a touchstone of hope and help. New Moon in Cancer opens your psyche up. Tap into your dream state for the necessary answers.

 

Is there a part of you which is rough and unrealized? As the Moon dives into her dark phase about to shed new light on our Earth in the vigilant sign of Cancer, allow yourself to plunge deeply into the crust which has formed over your intentions and goals. The crusty crab wants to be close to those around her but like a wary mother, needs to feel safe and secure before allowing anyone into the inner sanctum of her psyche. This is the third Eclipse in this summer cycle and is the second Solar Eclipse in the series. As sited in my previous writing on June 1, 2011, the Solar Eclipse is a dissolution of ego. This particular event has a tight square to unsettling activity of unpredictable Uranus so be prepared for quick changes of plans. Earth signs beware to not place your childhood stuff out in the open given the opposition of Pluto the Alchemist in Capricorn as this is sure to cause you to lose your footing. Air signs be patient if you have a few bad hair days or unusual aches and pains in the coming months given the event is squared by Saturn. Be stalwart and steadily assertive while maintaining politeness, when making your point. The bottom line to all of you is to be forgiving of yourself.

Those of you gearing up to celebrate the July 4th holiday in the USA, please exercise an extra measure of caution as this weekend is sure to produce a record amount of traffic tickets. There is no reason to hurt yourself or others with irresponsibility. This weekend has a fertile potential for Air and Earth sectors as well. If working on a new project, keep a recorder or notepad handy. If you don't want to reproduce, use precautions! Later in the day, Mercury bursts into the gregarious fire sign of Leo. Projects take off now with a constant flow of ideas and inspiration. Those of you already adept at tooting your own horn keep it reigned in by channeling your energy into personal creativity.

July 3, the goddess of love, Venus slips into the sensitive realm of Cancer and trails behind the Sun in sozzled squares to Uranus. The rough ride continues for the next nine days. Go easy on your wallet and use your creativity to get through this rocky ride.

Breathe a sigh of relief and know that magic is afoot when mighty Jupiter trines transformative Pluto July 7. Stay tuned for repeat performances October 28 and March 12, 2012. Even if you are a sworn pessimist, this alignment will have you acting fiercely optimistic. Things that were destined to fail, suddenly turn around. Oh let it be the economy!

Historically, when unusual Uranus turns retrograde, he stirs up revolution. If you don't like this sort of thing, get your permanent marker out and place a warning symbol on July 9. The true self is about to expose itself so this is no time to put on airs or wear a mask no matter what your reasoning. You are transforming at a very rapid and most deep level. Repeat after me "There is no limit to what I can do!"

The Full Moon in Capricorn July 14, pulls on your need to seek a warm lap to curl up in or toughing it out in the trenches. Either way is a good choice. You have to make the call. No one but you knows what is the correct choice.

July 22 marks mid-season when the Sun enters loyal Leo. Here in the Northern Hemisphere it is midsummer. Exercise your ability to be strong, safe and secure with all decisions and choices. This is no time to wishy wash around. Take the risks, extend a little further and keep a humble respect to all involved. I am not saying be egotistical and snooty, just push it a little harder.

Venus gets a little lusty when she enters the theatrical stage of Leo July 28. So as not to make a mess of your relationships, spend time in the morning disorienting in adoration at yourself. Look deeply into your own eyes and say "I love me!" I am serious, do it! In all relationships, be full of heart. Do whatever it takes to be sure this is how you are coming across. The moment the ego gets too intense, it is all over.      

Later the same day mental Mercury floats into Virgo, but even his analytical prowess can't save you from any potential mess you create. If you do botch things up you have a retrograde period beginning August 2 to clean things up and mind you, when he floats forward into Virgo again September 8, you will have to clean things up!

This Solar Eclipse may force you to let go of something you thought was very dear to your heart. This can leave you feeling very confused and disoriented. When things seem to slip between our fingers, we must remember that we come into this life with nothing and that is how we leave. So, practice being less attached and let your soul evolve. Remember, Eclipses set a tone until the next Eclipse cycle which is late November so buck up and do the best you can!

This New Moon in Gemini doubles as a Solar Eclipse.
Though eclipses were known to instill fear in our ancestors, there is no need to freak out on this one. The world didn’t end on May 21, right? Go splash some cool water on your face, watch yourself breath a few breaths and then come back, I will wait.

Feeling better? The cool water was a gentle reminder to lighten up, just like this New Moon. The supportive trine from sturdy Saturn to this lunar event offers stability. The is the possibility to make or endure changes is here with Pluto in Saturn’s sign of Capricorn square to the sturdy ruler. The shadow of this eclipse paints across eastern Russia, Alaska, northern Canada and Greenland. The place where the shadow touches the earth is where the bulk of the change is set to occur.

More than the physical greeting of hi and deeper than acknowledging the physical presence of another, this phrase implies, I really get you to your core. Take the idea of this powerful phrase and look into the mirror at yourself. Really see who you are and what you came here to do.

The nature of the lunation in Gemini is to have you feeling pulled in two directions. With the ego temporarily out of the way, the psyche has a chance to guide you. A positive trine of flowing energy from the alchemist Pluto makes this a perfect time to cleanse and clear. Just be sure to take time to really evaluate your choices Sometimes Pluto can get you going so much that you potlatch the whole house. Know when enough is enough! Saturn’s quincunx in agreeable Libra to this lunar event, leaves you queasy and uneasy. Watch out for food poisoning and other pollutants. It all depends which sector of your chart this takes place in. This points to where the cloudiness and indigestibility lay. Not all is negative. There is a great possibility fo material and financial gain afoot.

May 11, Mars saunters into Taurus. The bull’s earthy domain slows down the fiery warrior. This is no time to be assertive. It just won’t work. Sit back, relax and work on being attractive. Spend the aggressive energy rewriting your resume and reorganizing your file cabinet. In relationships be truthful and straight forward. This combination is a grand set up for passive aggressive behavior. Mind your manners but please do say what you really mean. During this transit, be Zen: Chop wood, carry water. The Full Moon is an accelerator of the engine which drives the emotional body. That which we are in awareness of is easier to digest and process. Take time to know yourself by setting aside opportunity for meditation. This cultivates self love and appreciation through your knowingness that you are a divine light.

The Sun glides into the colorful sign of Gemini May 21 inviting you to lighten up. Gemini reminds us that there are many possible paths to reach our destination. None is more correct than the other. All come with varying degrees of challenge and possible gifts. The sign of the twins is a reminder to be flexible. Rather than being a judge, be an interpreter. The stymied communication of the last two weeks now flows sweetly like a river of chocolate. Be sure to evaluate the sweet words of others so as to determine if they are truth or overly sugarcoated.
